The BizWorld programs is a supplementary curriculum that reinforces academics through real world hands-on activities. The BizWorld project is recommended for 8th grade elementary school, students 12 years of age. Bizworld teaches students business; to work in teams and to start and run their own small businesses in a simulated friendship bracelet industry. Taking on different leadership roles, students learn the basics of money management and entrepreneurship, as they apply for jobs, and design, manufacture, market and sell their products in the BizWorld marketplace.
BizWorld is financially made possible by so-called adoptive companies and is run by an entrepreneur in cooperation with the teacher.

Unique to this project is that every company can adopt one or more schools and can in this way characterize themselves as a social corporate responsible company.

In BizWiz, students play the roles of analysts, controllers and traders to learn the basics of saving and investing. Working in teams, students set financial goals, analyze forecasts, create a diversified portfolio, track their investments, allocate assets and trade. What is BizWorld?

BizWorld is a simulation where students get aquainted with entrepreneuriship in a team of six. They are helped by an entrepreneur so the passion for entrepreneurship can be passed on.

The students learn among other things what a company is, what stocks are and how much money is necessary if you want to start a company. Their currency consists of BizEuro's; therefore no “real” money is used in the simulation.
They devise their own product (friendship bracelets) and buy raw materials to make the product.
Afterwards they will manufacture the product with each other and calculatet the cost price is of these products in order to be sure to make a profit.
They work with a marketingy campaign and will sell the products effectively (the purchasers are for example students seventh grade). They track their finances every day with one main objective: to make a profit.
BizWorld is executed in four sessions, where they work two to three hours per session in their company.
